Turkey - Day 3

 

Today was day 3 of Istanbul!  It's def. flying by!!  As I usually say, I got up for breakfast, but this time I went back to sleep for about an hour or so after breakfast because I had a trip, but it wasn't until noon, so I had some time to catch up on my sleep!  My trip was a bosphorous excursion, so we got on a ferry and sailed for a little over an hour and a half down the bosphorous, between the European and Asiatic side of Istanbul.. it was really neat!  The weather today was very different.. it was cloudy all day and windy, so it wasn't scorching hot all day, which was a great change of pace!  The weather also made it a great time to try turkish tea on the boat, which was amazing!!!  I really liked it and plan on buying some to take back home!!  So, the boat ride was good and i even saw some dolphins on it.. and when it was over we went to a private museum to look at artifacts, clothing pieces, accessories and a bunch of stuff from the Ottoman times I believe, which was also neat.  After the museum, we took a bus ride back to the port, which took about 45 minutes since we had sailed on the boat so far down the Bosphorous.

 

Once back to the ship, I went to dinner with my roommate because I hadn't eaten lunch and was starving!!  After an entertaining dinner with our friends the waiters, we decided to go out and search for some internet.  We found some free wi-fi at a restaurant and all you had to do was atleast order a drink, so we each got some tea and water and used the internet... which sucked!  I think there was too many people using it and it kept getting interrupted, so I didn't even get to upload any more pictures b/c it was going too slow and I kept getting kicked off! Ugh.. oooh well!

 

After our internet experience we found some ice cream and then passed our cabin steward and his friend eating, so we stopped and talked to him for awhile.. but we couldn't sit down with them b/c if someone saw us they could get in trouble.... which is sooo dumb! 

 

The rest of the night was un-eventful and I went to bed early because I had a trip that left at 8:30 am the next day.. which you will hear about soon!
